NEW DELHI: S Ramdas, a 103-year-old resident of Chennai, is not just a fan of cricket; he is a devoted follower of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). His passion for the team is unmatched, and he has been constantly following CSK since the inception of the IPL in 2008.

At the age of 103, Ramdas continues to inspire and amaze with his unwavering dedication to the sport and his favorite team. His commitment to CSK serves as a testament to the power of passion and the enduring spirit of a true fan.

Ramdas, born in 1920 in Udumalaipettai, Coimbatore, completed his PUC before serving in the British Military's Army, specifically in the unit known as Air-right Precaution. He was enlisted in Trichy during that time, and he continued to pursue his passion for cricket even in those years.

"I am 103 Senior Valiban. I am not an old man. I am a senior youth, I like cricket and I watch cricket," said Superfan Ramdas in a video shared by CSK on their X handle.
Wearing a CSK jersey, Ramdas brimmed with enthusiasm as he discussed MS Dhoni. Seated beside him, his son eagerly displayed pictures of Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, and Suresh Raina, all of which Ramdas promptly identified.

"We got the awareness of the game because of his enthusiasm only. Plus in our friend circle, he used to be our bowler, our umpire. And since the IPL has started he has been following regularly. We used to think that he cannot sit and watch the whole game. But he sits enthusiastically and follows every game. He is total cricket lover," said Ramdas' son.

When queried about his ability to travel to Delhi to watch CSK play, Ramdas said he will. "Can you go and watch the match if it happens in Delhi?, question his son. Ramdas replied, "I will walk and go."

Ramdas was also asked if he wants to go and see MS Dhoni at Chepauk, to which he replied, "Yes. Whenever he (Dhoni) has time and when he calls, we should go. We should go according to his time."
